  • Germán Corredor Avella is an electrical engineer from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia with a Master's Degree in Economics from the same university and a specialization in Energy Planning and Economics from the Bariloche Foundation in Argentina.

  • He has more than 30 years of experience in the energy sector and has dedicated the last 10 years to advising companies and public and private entities. He was Regulatory Manager of the Unión Fenosa Group in Colombia and founded Corenergía, an independent energy consulting firm focused on the development of renewable energy projects. He has advised numerous national and international entities on regulatory, economic, planning and sectoral policy issues.

  • In the public sector, he has experience in entities such as the National Planning Department (DNP), the National Energy Financing Company (FEN), the Bogota Energy Company, and the Ministry of Finance. He was the first Director of the Mining and Energy Planning Unit (UPME), Vice Minister of Energy, Technical Secretary of the National Council for the Operation of the Electricity Sector, and Manager of the Bogota Water and Sewerage Company (with more than 2,000,000 users).
